ABOUT THE ROLE:
My client is looking for an experienced professional with great relationship-building skills to join their Bay of Plenty Infrastructure Delivery team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who can take the lead or support the delivery of high-profile infrastructure and transportation projects. Be part of brand new office location in Tauranga, and you will have support from the Waikato, Auckland and Northland offices.
Some responsibilities of the role will include:
• Managing delivery of infrastructure and transportation projects, from site assessment and design, through to construction and handover – with the support of the wider team.
• Proposal preparation, job delivery, work planning and financial management tasks.
• Performing site inspections and assessing health, safety, environmental and quality assurance performance of contractors
A little about you:
• You have at least five years’ experience as a project manager in the civil and infrastructure industry.
• You have a proven track record of delivery of projects to time, budget and specification – with experience in areas such as roading, civil infrastructure, urban development and rail being advantageous.
• You have a recognised bachelor or higher tertiary qualification in a field such as civil engineering or construction management.
• You are comfortable in a consulting environment, working alongside high-profile clients.
Key skills:
• Experience performing Engineer’s Representative or Engineer’s Rep Assistant roles.
• Experience in the NZ construction management environment and NZS3910 or NZS3916.
• Great communicator – both verbal and written – and effective at establishing meaningful professional relationships.
• Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail.
• Take pride in your work, and always looking to develop in your career.
• Able to operate autonomously, while also appreciating the benefits of collaboration.
